• Our history

Tankamel Sawa’s aid projects date back to 2010, where ex-volunteers of the Lebanese Red Cross sensed the enormous gap between the needs of the community and the response so scarcely offered.

Driven by their social responsibility, they founded Tankamel Sawa, and it marked the start of years of dedicated relief and effective support.

• Who We Are:

Tankamel Sawa is a Lebanese non-governmental humanitarian organization, politically independent and undenominational.

We aim and act to support communities and individuals who find themselves in situations of difficulty and need, mobilizing resources in the best way in order to ensure efficient and sustainable solutions.

Tankamel Sawa is primarily active in the areas of Northern Lebanon and Akkar, with the readiness and capacity to respond for emergency calls all over Lebanon.

 

Our Vision:

Tankamel Sawa seeks to support and empower vulnerable people, in all aspects, to continue their life with dignity. We seek to be a sustainable and well-structured association in an empowered and prospered society.

 

Our Mission:

Our mission is to work, in a community-based manner, to support, protect and empower vulnerable people, by strengthening and improving their quality of life, as well as building their capacity.

 

Partners:

Today, our expertise in the files of water, sanitation, and hygiene makes us a valuable cooperation partner of arche noVa funded by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.

Moreover, Tankamel Sawa has put efforts hand in hand with fellow local NGOs throughout the years, as a part of our purpose to provide help whenever and wherever needed.
